A passenger car is defined as a motor vehicle used primarily for carrying passengers, including convertibles, sedans, and station wagons. A light truck is defined as a truck with a gross vehicle weight rating (GVWR) of 10,000 pounds or less, including pickups, vans, truck-based station wagons, and sport utility vehicles.
