To help meet FMCSA’s ambitious goal of a 41% reduction in large truck-related fatalities from 1996 to 2008 requires dramatic, innovative solutions

 SafeStat is a process that measures the relative safety performance and compliance of individual motor carriers in 4 Safety Evaluation Areas: Accident, Driver, Vehicle, and Safety Management.

Provides summarized crash statistics for large trucks and buses involved in fatal and non-fatal crashes on the National and State level.  Over 40 crash profile reports are accessible online for crashes reported from 1999-2005.
