| Household Goods Complaint History |
| |
|
The National Consumer Complaint Database (NCCDB) allows consumers to file complaints regarding household goods moving companies, including brokers, carriers and freight forwarders. This system also allows HHG companies the ability to view the individual details of the complaints and to challenge duplicate or fraudulent complaints.
In order to access this system, please visit:
http://nccdb.fmcsa.dot.gov.
The following table reports the number of complaints lodged in the NCCDB against the selected HHG company. When making comparison between companies, it is important to take into account the size of the companies. Larger companies are capable of handling more moves; and therefore, are more likely to have complaints lodged against them. The data shown above under fleet size can be used for assessing the size of a company.

| Safety Evaluation Period: 4/23/2007 - 10/23/2009 |
Summary of Safety Evaluation Areas (SEAs) |
This website uses a system called SafeStat,
(Safety Status),
based on current federal motor carrier safety
data, to measure the relative safety status of ALL Federally regulated commercial motor carriers in four Safety Evaluation Areas
(SEAs):
Accident,
Driver,
Vehicle
and Safety Management.
SEA values range between 0 (best) and 100 (worst) and are calculated
for carriers with sufficient data related to each
SEA. As displayed in the bar chart, the selected company's SEA values are compared to the national averages for all Household Good Companies in each evaluation area.
The higher the SEA value,
the worse its safety status. For example,
a company with a Driver SEA value of 80 indicates
that approximately 80% of the carrier population
with sufficient data had a better safety performance
than that company with respect to driver issues. Note:
Only carriers with sufficient data are used during
the calculation of the ratings.
